Feel the pull of the Atlantic in a painting that captures Irish light like few others ever have.
Maree Montante
This is a study of raw coastal drama—red rocks emerging from a rising tide, painted with the bold colour and movement that defined O'Conor's vision. Created in the 1890s at Pont-Aven, where he worked alongside Gauguin and the Post-Impressionists, it shows a distinctly Irish eye interpreting the Breton coast. This is your chance to bring it home.
About the Artist
Roderic O'Conor was a Cork-born painter who left Ireland to study in Paris and became one of the few Irish artists to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Post-Impressionist movement. He spent formative years at Pont-Aven in Brittany, absorbing bold colour theory and rejecting the safe academic approach. O'Conor's work channels the energy of his homeland into every brushstroke—restless, uncompromising, and luminous. He died in relative obscurity but is now recognised as one of Ireland's finest painters.Tracked, securely packaged, delivered in 2-5 business days.
